10 years ago I was engaged to be married. Let’s just say it didn’t work out, nothing bad or anything like that, just wasn’t to be. I hadn’t kept in contact with him at all and hadn’t spoken to him in almost as long (we did speak a few times after the break up), until tonight.

Tonight my father rang me to say that the ex-fiance was on the phone and wanted my number to call me. He told my dad why he was calling and asked him to tell me so I knew what I was getting into. So my dad told me that my ex-fiance was calling because he was feeling down and melancholy as he has a serious illness and not long to live but he wanted to talk to me.

I’m just stunned. Of course I spoke with him for nearly an hour about everything and anything but I just can’t get to grips with this at all.

I don’t even know what to say. Just in total shock.

We’re so cruel.

Earlier on today, like 3 hours ago, I had to send unibrow a file over MSN that he needed. Accidentally I sent it to the rabbit but didn’t notice that and was adamant that I sent it to unibrow when they asked what happened. So unibrow asked me to send it again, and this time I delibrately sent it to the rabbit and said it definitely went to unibrow, I definitely clicked him etc. Very weird, unibrow says, but we leave it alone and don’t think on it again.

So later he asks me to send him a message to see if he gets that. The rabbit and me decided to do something funny. I would send my message to the rabbit, and he’d send it to unibrow. Then I’d ask unibrow if he got the message.

Unibrow started freaking out. All the messages I said I was sending him, he was getting from the rabbit! We kept this up for 2 hours. He reinstalled MSN, changed to his laptop to try it, reinstalled trillian, installed plain original MSN, and the whole time we kept sending messages from me, through the rabbit.

2 HOURS this went on for.  He finally deleted me from his contact list, and when he readded me I sent him a direct message and he nearly hit the roof in joy.

hehe, we’re so cruel. We also came up with something to do tomorrow with replacing his desktop image and icons. That’ll be fun :p

I used always think, that for me the most annoying sound I couldn’t stand was the cracking of knuckles. I was wrong.

Aparrantly, unibrow using a nail cutterthingy to cut his nails and then bite them, is the most annoying sound I’ve ever heard. Ever.

So I got up this morning, well ok afternoon :p Checked my email, nothing. Checked my work email (the hotel was emailing me there), nothing. More panic!

Rang the hotel and got some foreign one, well ok it’s an English hotel they’re all foreign to me, but like foreign foreign. She barely knew what I was talking about but got the words “tickets for match” and my bro’s name. She said she’d check and call me back. 10 mins later, she calls to say no, they haven’t arrived. Argh! What to do, what to do!

so I rang my dad and he came up with check other ticket sellers/sites and see if I could get 2 tickets delivered to the hotel today or picked up by Steve in Manchester somewhere. If the original ones don’t come, he can still go to the match and I can dispute the charge with my CC company for non delivery. If the originals do come, he can sell 2 before the match. So that’s what I started doing. Ringing around other ticket sellers and checking websites for availability.

One was sold out, the other I was just about to ring when the foreign one at the hotel rang me to say Steve’s tickets were just delivered right then and there, the guy delivering them was literally still at the counter when she rang me.

Thank god.

Rang Steve and let him know and he sounded more relieved than I was hehe. Here’s to a good match and maybe we’ll see him on TV Utd better win now!

Oh, I also told him if he didn’t bring his camera and doesn’t take any pics at the match, to not bother coming home Kidding, of course, sorta

I’ve semi been neglecting my blog, not on purpose though. Just been so busy over the holiday period, and it’s easing off now thankfully. Well, nearly, my grandparents are 60years married at the end of the month so we’re organising and getting ready for a big party for that. That’s going to be awesome.

But right now I’m a bit panicy. For Christmas, I bought my brother 2 tickets to see Manchester United play Chelsea at home in Manchester. These tickets cost me a lot of money, and this was on Dec 8th.

This is January 9th, 2 days before the match, almost 1 day as it’s almost midnight, and there is no sign of the tickets. The ticket seller has guaranteed me the tickets are assured and will be at the hotel for when he arrives. Nevermind that I paid for shipping to here. Nevermind that their site says they ship internationally, apparantly they don’t *actually* ship internationally. Nevermind that their customer service has guaranteed the tickets will be at the hotel by the time he arrives there tomorrow, 9am. Nevermind that it’s almost midnight and the hotel has no package for him yet.

The guy I spoke to today said they’d be delivered this evening. I asked is that 7/8PM and he said probably much later. Now, the girl at reception in the hotel said she didn’t know if they had arrived or not, she had a quick look but said the day staff would know better but it looks like there’s no package there for him.

Argh! I dunno what to do. If they aren’t there tomorrow do I try source them elsewhere and pay through the nose? Or leave it and let him have a weekend in Manchester just getting drunk or whatever? Sigh.

He gets to the hotel early tomorrow and will call or text me if they’re there or not. Just gotta wait and see I guess.

Not very happy though Mostly because this was his Christmas present, and looks like he’s getting nothing
